Terms & Conditions

Effective 15 August 2026 · Applies to all subscriber pharmacies and authorised users

1. About these terms

These terms govern access to and use of ScriptWise, the central prescription-fill registry operated for the Cayman Islands ("the Registry"). By requesting access, signing in, or recording a dispense, your pharmacy ("the Subscriber") and each individual user agree to be bound by these terms and by the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

Access is limited to pharmacies licensed to operate in the Cayman Islands and to pharmacy professionals authorised by a Subscriber. Each user must hold an individual account; accounts must not be shared. Every account resolves to a dispensing location, and the Subscriber is responsible for keeping its user list current — including removing users who leave its employment without delay.

3. Permitted use

The Registry may be used only to inform dispensing decisions: checking a patient's supply history before dispensing, recording a fill, and managing repeats. Any other use of patient records — including curiosity lookups, employment screening, or disclosure to third parties — is prohibited. Every lookup and dispense is logged against the signed-in user and their dispensing location, and access logs are retained for audit.

4. Subscriber obligations

The Subscriber must record every script fill in the Registry at the time of dispensing, ensure the accuracy of records it submits, correct errors promptly, and safeguard credentials and trusted terminals. The Subscriber must notify ScriptWise without undue delay of any suspected unauthorised access or misuse of an account.

5. Duplicate-fill alerts are decision support

Alerts, supply histories, and repeat counters are provided as decision support. They do not replace the professional judgement of the dispensing pharmacist, who remains solely responsible for the decision to dispense or refuse a supply.

6. Fees and billing

Billable actions are recorded per transaction and invoiced monthly by subscriber statement. Statements never contain patient data. Fees are payable within 30 days of the statement date. Continued non-payment may result in suspension of access after written notice.

7. Availability

ScriptWise targets continuous availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Where the Registry is unavailable, pharmacies must follow their standard dispensing procedures and record the fill as soon as service is restored. Planned maintenance is notified in advance where practicable.

8. Suspension and termination

ScriptWise may suspend or terminate an account or Subscriber immediately where misuse of patient data is suspected, and otherwise on 30 days' written notice. A Subscriber may terminate on 30 days' written notice. Records already submitted to the Registry remain part of the central record after termination.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Cayman Islands law, ScriptWise is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for dispensing decisions made by pharmacy professionals. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are notified to Subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Registry after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands, and the courts of the Cayman Islands have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Questions about these terms can be raised via the contact page.
